Two days ago I ran across a passage of Scripture that challenged me and caused me to think long and hard about ministry as a whole.
The passage is in 1 Samuel 3.
This is the first verse at hand….
This is the second verse.
Samuel had ministered before the Lord before he was called by the Lord in this passage, yet verse 7 says that Samuel did not yet even know the Lord and the Word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.
This caught me off guard. So my question to you guys is this:
Can you minister and not yet even know the Lord? Can you minister without a Word from God? A commission, if you will?
