Lately I’ve been taking the time to read through the book of Psalms. It’s such a beautiful collection. This morning, Psalm 103 ruled me.
Verses 8-12 say this:
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our own sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Love it.
I guess what I love the most so far as I read through the Psalms, is that you can clearly see the relationship between the Creator and the created, David. There’s evidence of up’s and down’s in David’s life, but more so than that there is evidence of faithfulness in David’s life, that’s what sticks out to me. You see the journey….and @ the end in Psalm 150, you see that the last three words of the Psalms are “PRAISE THE LORD.”
Through it all, Praise the Lord.
